It looks like the you have enabled the mute switch. The mute switch is the one on the left hand side of the iPhone just above the volume buttons. If you see the red indicator it means that the mute switch is enabled. Flip the switch and you should be able to listen to the music.
That's strange. Unless you haven't turned down the volume, it could be a hardware issue. You could take it to the Apple Store.
Note: The volume control is different for the headphones and for the speaker. So it is possible you have turned it down for the speaker, and it is turned up for the speaker.
As per the your problem concern i also says that this kind of issue generally create because of hardware problem. So just take it to near by apple store and ask for the solution of this issue.
Buying the most expensive model doesn’t mean you have bought the best one. There are situations where a much affordable model offers you exactly what you want.
