AT&T's problems with network congestion need no introduction. This is particularly true of areas like New York with high iPhone density where dropped call rates of 30% are considered normal. However it now appears that the company has managed to reduce drop call rates network-wide. As part of the quarterly...

I still drop calls like hot potatos. I dropped a few today already... I call BS
AT&T is correct. Dropped calls have reduced. Because people are making less call across their network.
i never get dropped calls any more unless i go near one tower, but it does not even have 3G on the one i drop from
Fort Worth, TX
In the suburbs of Chicago, I have noticed many fewer dropped calls in the past 2-3 weeks. Was terrible for a few months prior.
My drop call rate has never been higher than it has in the past few weeks. I cannot even remember the last time I ended a call by hanging up. BTW, I'm in SF.
i drop calls around 4:30-5:30pm and then at 9:00pm central. wonder why? could it be that the networks are stressed at those times? ya think?
do any of you ever think that your dropping calls due to your phone switching from one tower to another every 5 seconds looking for the strongest signal????
I still get drop calls often (about 1 per every other call) and i had also noticed the 3G coverage had either reduced or weaken.
Dropped and uncompleted calls like mad around the DC area, even when stationary and with five bars of signal. It's gotten far worse over the past year, not better.
This is bologna; if I have a phone conversation longer than 10 minutes, my drop-call rate is 100%. Regardless of where I am. And I live 8 miles north of Boston on top of a giant hill, and I work right across the river from downtown Boston. It doesn't matter where I am, I always drop calls. I'd love to know where they get their statistics from. I guarantee you that their data doesn't come from an unbiased random sample. They should change their slogan to, 'Hi, we're AT&T and we suck.'
I'm in the Atlanta area and have noticed a dramatic increase in dropped calls in recent weeks. Yesterday I had five dropped calls. I don't have any issues with any other phones on the same AT&T plan.
Foster City, CA - Too many dropped calls with AT&T / Iphone 3GS
Completely crap. I travel extensively between Kansas City, St. Louis and Dallas. It doesn't matter the city, it doesn't matter if I'm moving or stopped. 30% of my calls are dropped, if the call lasts more than 10 min, its almost always dropped.
If it's 2 iphones talking with each other, forget it.
